a dad and a husband and hopefully the better i'll be as a president. >> vice president joe biden's quote, complete comfort with same-sex marriage did speed up the timing but he credits gay members of his staff, and parents of his daughter's friends that help him qualify how he feels. some are a little worried about the politics behind the announcement. if this is a problem for some supporters who may have supported president obama and may instead vote for mitt romney, the question is wouldn't mitt romney be worse for same-sex couples. you can always join us in our

president has just affirmed people like us and equality in america, we also have to remember that there are some steps being taken backward and i'm filled with hope, but also really thoughtful about what has happened in north carolina. >> absolutely. i have to say. this is what we have been talking about this morning. this is why this took real courage and character, and we have to hope that in a bipartisan way other people recognize that. >> yeah. >> i think it was so significant that he did it the day after the north carolina thing. don't you think? >> i do, and i don't think it was planned, and i think it was a reaction to what happened in north carolina and the aggregate of his decision was -- i think the vice president's comments last week helped kind of move the chain forward -- >> it's a big-f-ing deal. >> and he did it at considerable
